The Natural Beauty Box | August 2020 First Impressions

The Natural Beauty Box is one of my favourite deliveries each month and contains a fantastic variety of vegan, cruelty-free and natural products to satisfy any beauty enthusiast. It’s always such great value for money and August’s box is no exception with an overall box value of £67.45 for £25 and that includes postage. The ‘Re.fresh’ themed box has five lovely products to get you feeling refreshed and give your skin a dewy finish. I was excited to see some new brands.

Organii Everyday Organics – Liquorice Shower Gel

I’m a huge fan of this brand so really intrigued by this shower gel, especially as it is on my to-try list. I love the packaging and the shape of the bottle. It reminds me of a bottle of milk. I’m excited to try this and I’ll be honest Liquorice wouldn’t be my first choice but it’s not a strong scent and I think it might be quite a nice scent for a pick me up in the shower in the mornings. Liquorice is also said to help promote skin elasticity, helping to achieve healthy-looking toned skin.

It comes in 4 other scents too which I’m dying to give a try. It has a nice lather to it and feels quite creamy, this is also great for sensitive skin so that means the munchkin can use it while in the shower and I don’t have to worry about him having a mini eczema flare-up, he hasn’t had one in maybe a year or 2 now because of the products he uses.

Organii Everyday Organics – Liquorice Shower Gel £5.95/300ml

Douvall’s –  Citrus Argan Body Oil

I love little products like this that are great for multi-tasking, this smells delicious. Douvall’s Argan Oil is infused with a light and fresh sweet citrus scent. It’s one of those oils that are not just for your body but can be used in the bath and your hair. With undertones of fresh lemon, mandarin and grapefruit oil for the body and bath.

They uniquely and expertly blend nourishing and beneficial oils that are enriched with organic first cold-pressed argan oil to moisture and hydrate dry skin and hair. Add to bath for complete relaxation of the mind, body and soul. Suitable for all skin types, I can’t wait to give this a try.

Douvall’s – Citrus Argan Body Oil £14/15ml

Fais Botanicals – Balance It Antioxidant Facial Oil

This is a completely new brand to me and I’m excited to try this facial oil. I have to admit, I do love a good facial oil now. This one is the Balance It antioxidant facial oil with Maracuja & Geranium. It’s great for oily and combination skin, like mine to help rebalance your complexion. This smells fresh and I’m looking forward to giving it a try.

This facial oil will balance excess sebum production whilst soothing acne and protect skin from free radical damage. Enriched with maracuja (passion fruit) seed oil which is renowned for its antibacterial properties, it will help you to keep your combination skin well-nourished and healthy. As we get closer to the colder months and the darker mornings my skin is going to need this especially with working in a dusty warehouse and air-conditioned environments I know I’ll be more prone to breakouts and spots so I’m hoping this can help to keep my skin under control.

Fais Botanicals – Balance It Antioxidant Facil Oil £25/30ml

Skin Alchemists – Artisan Soap

This is my favourite brand for those high-end luxury products. I love my soaps and always on the lookout to try different brands and I can honestly say this was the first thing I could smell before I even opened the box. You received one of two and the one I received was the Charred Rose artisan soap. It smells really lovely and I love the pattern in it. Because it’s handmade and cut by hand each soap will be slightly different and I love that. The attention to detail is what makes this brand even more luxurious. I like that the brand name is hand stamped on the bar too.

Packed with natural glycerine and enriched with skin-loving extra virgin olive, coconut oil and African shea butter. Turn your shower into a Caribbean escape. Lovingly hand poured in their London studios and cured for eight weeks. These artisan soap bars are artfully designed using detoxifying charcoal, skin purifying French pink clay and powdered hibiscus which helps to naturally brighten skin. Essential oils of Egyptian geranium and palmarosa helps tone skin and give an uplifting rosy scent. So this is going to be fantastic for sensitive and dry skin.

Skin Alchemists – Artisan Soap Charred Rose £9.50/100g

Elikya Beauty – 100% Natural Gold Glow

This is the second new brand to me in this box and one that I’m excited to try. I’ll be honest I’m not a massive makeup person as I’m getting older but I still enjoy wearing it when I do. I’m not sure if this is something I would use. However, I’m looking forward to trying it and seeing how it works as I’ve never used anything like this before.

Elikya Beauty’s 100% Natural Glow is made with hibiscus essential oil. It brings a touch of instant radiance to the complexion for a radiant, healthy finish. Its light texture can be applied alone, or mixed with your foundation. So you get that dewy glow that I know I look for. It’s made in France, the French are great for skincare and let’s face it, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a French lady looking a hot mess! They’re chic and well presented and I know my niece would love something like this.

Elikya Beauty – 100% Natural Gold Glow €14.90/15ml
